The LES with subgrid modeling based on the spectral Chebyshev-Fourier approximation was performed to investigate the 3D turbulent and transitional non-isothermal flows within a rotor/stator cavity. In the LES we used a Lagrangean version of the dynamic Smagorinsky eddy viscosity model (Meneveau et al. 1996). Computations were performed for the cavity of the aspect ratio L(velence)3.0-5.0, curvature parameters Rm(velence)1.8 to 5.0, the thermal Rossby number B(velence)0.1 and for the Reynolds number Re(velence)100000-200000. New data are provided for coupled momentum and thermal transport in a rotor/stator cavity flows. Obtained distributions of the heat flux components, the Reynolds stress tensor components, the turbulent Prandtl number and other structural parameters coincide with the published in literature data obtained experimentally.
