摘要

One of the most powerful tools in manufacturing is the use of Expert Systems (ES) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as one of the new high technology techniques. It leads to increase and improve the quality of product and thereby supporting the courage for competition. An (ES) was design to be implemented for actual production line (online) of color television (CTV). It is capable to analyze and determine the cause (so repair) of (10) main categories' faults by executing one of ten subroutines. This (ES) based on (IF ...THEN) rule as a knowledge base, and QBASIC software (MASTER. BAS) program was created as a shell (tools). Hereafter is the link between the said (ES) and (ANN) as a perceptrons paradigm. The input vector represent (47) test points (continuous values) associated with the rules used for the (ES). The target vector represent binary values, each one in its pattern is pointed to activate specific subroutine. Learning algorithm for (ANN) was carried out successfully according to results shown below.
