Stability of LaCoO_3 based ferroic perovskites has been studied by in-situ high temperature TEM. Heating of perovskite samples above the Curie temperature (T_c) of ferroelastic phase transition allow us directly demonstrate the dynamic changes in the crystal structure of perovskites. De-twinning process and single-domain grains formation were observed during heating of La_(0.6)Ca_(0.4)CoO_3 up to 700°C. A phase separation and cobalt oxide precipitations are reported in reducing atmosphere during high temperature TEM experiments.
