Various kinds of toxic organic materials make environmental quality worsening day by day.And this phenomenon has attracted the whole world attention. The existence of toxic organic material in Yellow River Basin certainly will threaten the water resources of Yellow River Basin and the riverian healthy seriously due to its long term degradation and dreadful "three leads" function. This article laborates from the definition, properties, hazards to the environment of the toxic organic material, and the pollution actuality to the pollution sources and the research actuality, aims to put forward relevant Countermeasures to toxic organic material.
