The reason for our choice of 12 to 26 weeks old rats is that they are comparable to human mobile phone addicted teen-agers with respect to age. The intense use of mobile phones by youngsters is a serious memento. A neuronal damage of the kind, here described, may not have immediately demonstrable consequences, even if repeated. It may, however, in the long run, result in reduced brain reserve capacity that might be unveiled by other later neuronal disease or even the wear and tear of ageing.
