Rapid prototyping technology has been developed for decades. It has an important position in manufacturing industry for its unique principle, and it has been widely applied in many fields. In this paper, a novel deposition forming technology is developed based on rapid prototyping technology in combination with mono-sized droplets prepared by Pulsated Orifice Ejection Method (POEM). Mono-sized metal micro-droplets are precisely deposited on three-dimensional platform one by one. The position accuracy of micro droplets in vertical deposition and the influence of velocity of working platform on lines deposition were carried out. The good reproducibility and accuracy of droplets deposition were proved by high speed camera and micro-structure observation. The overlapping with no voids between adjacent droplets was obtained when the speed of working platform reaches around 600um/s in lines deposition. Based on the above results, several thin wall components with good flatness were successfully obtained.
