In the emerging mobile environment, applications exhibit new challenges due to scarcity of resources such as battery lifetime, processing power and memory, they have to react to frequent and unpredictable changes in the environment like the variability of network bandwidth, new physical locations, etc. In this paper, we look at three different approaches in handling disconnection problems in order to make applications smoothly executing in mobile internet environment. Our aim is to compare the different approaches in order to identify the key issues arised and show how suitable are the mechanisms to solve the problems.
