According to the advancing the underground copper ore mines in Poland the new mining areas are to be developed. The planned mining fields are deeper and remotely located from the existingwinding shafts. The ore will be transported to shafts by high capacity, long distance, inclined beltconveyors. As the user expectations in the field of a single conveyor length, transportation systemreliability and maintenance requirements are far beyond the capabilities of the existing conveyors the newgeneration of energy-efficient belt conveyors should be developed. The multi-variant selection of the belt conveyor layout and equipment has been described.
