World demand for both vegetable oils and oilmeals has increased at an astounding pace since about the mid-nineties. The rate of increase is even accelerating in Oct/Sept 2004/05 and we at OIL WORLD anticipate total consumption at 135.4 Mn T, up steeply by 6.25 Mn T or 4.8% from last season. This includes demand for food as well as for non-food applications.
