摘要

Chemical fertilizers account for a substantial part of sugarcane production cost in Thailand. The recommendation base on site-specific technologies is urgently required lo reduce production cost and environmental impact. The potential of each soil type, weather and management need to be considered for the basic recommendation. At present sugarcane simulation model CANEGRO 3.5 is well developed and can be used to predict sugarcane yield under different soil types, weather and management practices. This paper report a comparison between the actual cane yield from 46 sugarcane farms in the northeast and central area and simulated cane yield using CANEGRO 3.5. The economic analysis of chemical fertilizer recommendations was also included. The result showed that CANEGRO 3.5 performed very well. The simulated model showed various responses of sugarcane yield to water and nitrogen under different soil series. The actual yield was in the range of lower and upper limit of simulated yield which mean that cane growers try to increase cane yield by nitrogen and irrigation input. Using CANEGRO 3.5 was limited since there were only genetic coefficient of two cane variety this required more study in the future.
