COST E 18 is a concerted type action launched in November 1999.Its objective is to pool information and experiences and also to set up projects to improve performance and durability-whilst complying with environmental directives-for wood-finishes or wood-based materials used in the building and furnishing industries.Three working groups were set up:WG 1:Interaction between wood and finish,WG 2:Performance,durability and environmental impacts for exterior finishes,WG 3:Performance,durability and environmental impacts for interior finishes,This paper will present the State-of-the-Art of the WG3 from several workshops(mainly Paris 2001,Lisbon 2002 and Paris 2004).
