The Tripperpas was a contactless chip card that was introduced in the Dutch municipality of Groningen in a two-years trial period. The aims were: to determine the efficacy of the new electronic ticketing system and to assess public acceptability in a working environment. The experiment had demonstrated that chip card was popular with passengers and welcomed by the operating staff. To provide additional insights to guide the development and implementation of the chip card technology nationwide, a Social Cost-Benefit Analysis had been undertaken to determine potential benefits and possible costs from the community's point of view. It is an exploratory study using an integrated socio-economic approach to examine the differential impacts for different stakeholders under various scenarios'. Results indicate that the project would have a wide range of social benefits and, when the benefits were taken together under plausible assumptions, total social benefits would exceed total project costs.

Exchange Rate Pass-Through in Transition Economies: The Case of the Republic of Macedonia Abstract: This paper investigates the relative costs and benefits associated with introducing a different exchange rate regime in the Republic of Macedonia.
