摘要

The Japan-China Joint study on Aeolian Dust Experiment on Climate impact (ADEC) has started since April 2000 to estimate the impact on climate by the Aeolian dust. Lidar network observation of the vertical profiles of the dust is one of the key components of the ADEC to clarify the wide-range three-dimensional distribution of the dust. As some parts of the network, we improve the two lidar systems which we have already developed and operated to measure the stratospheric aerosol layer originally at Tsukuba and Naha, Japan. The intensive measurements were executed during the two intensive observation periods organized by the project. Continuous measurement are being executed since April 2003, and optical property and origin of the dust were examined.
