This report evaluated the advantages to cos-mesis for a combination of transconjunetival and intraoral upper vestibular approaches in the repair of zygomatic fracture. A total of 52 conjunctiva! incisions were used in 35 patients for zygomatic fractures and subsequent secondary incisions. All operative procedures were performed using a combination of transconjunetival and intraoral upper vestibular approaches for the repair of zygomatic fracture without facial skin incisions such as additional lateral canthot-omy. The infraorbital rim and/or lateral buttress was stabilized using titanium miniplates in 27 patients and absorbable miniplates in 8 patients. No ectropion or entropion developed in any patient. Complications included laceration of the eyelid (n=l) and temporary entropion in the secondary incision (n=l).Combination of transconjunetival and intraoral approaches for the repair of zygomatic fracture is simple, easy, effective and leaves no conspicuous facial scars.
