Considerable savings in both cost and schedule could be realized if fixed-base modes, used to correlate fixed-base finite element models for coupled loads analyses, could be extracted while a structure is mounted on a flexible shake table before it undergoes environmental testing. Previously, a transmissibility-based methodology that uses multiple excitation sources mounted to the boundary support structure to help extract fixed-base frequency response functions was developed and applied to structures with isolated inertia supports. This paper presents results of applying the methodology to a structure mounted on a shake table at Sandia National Laboratory in New Mexico. The results demonstrate that the influence of the table's flexibility on the structure's dynamics could be largely eliminated for the first seven fixed-base modes.
