摘要

This study reports on results of 15 case studies conducted with entities across the pharmaceutical healthcare supply chain operating in Australia with the objective of understanding the key drivers of adopting e-business technologies. Results highlight a series of operational, financial and strategic issues coupled with pressures from stakeholders as key drivers for e-business adoption. Drawing on Institutional theory to complement the analysis; this study differentiates itself from previous studies by delineating the coercive, normative and mimetic pressures enacting on each entity in the supply chain and developing typologies for financial and operational drivers.
