Using the surface displacement and rock body stress techniques, the stability conditions of Lianziya Hazardous Rock Body before and after the controlling engineering being executed are compared and analyzed, thereby the stabilization effect of controlling engineering is assessed. And It had formed a multi-means tridimensional monitoring system with data collected and disposed automatically since the monitoring system on Lianziya hazardous rock body was worked up. The real-time monitoring had lasted for more than 6 years until the end of 2005. The Controlling Engineering On Lianziya Hazardous Rock Body, located in the Three Gorges of the Yangtse River, commenced in May 1995. Then the Wuwanfang anchor cable completed in August 1997 and load bearing anti-slide body had accomplished in August 1998. The whole project took a period of more than 4 years. The degree of security of Rock body was rather increased after the engineering construction, horizontal deformation velocity changed from 1.04-2.48 mm/a (millimeters per year) to 0.76-2.42 mm/a and vertical deformation velocity transformed from 0.4-1.0 to 0.2-1.12 mm/a in the monitoring spots set on earth's surface and underground, and it is confirmed that the rock body had gradually came stable. Meanwhile, the variety of the deformation velocity in area coverage during the process of construction shows that the hazardous rock body is sensitive to disturbance of the construction. It is indicated that the monitoring system set up in project is effective.
