This paper describes the molecular recognition technology (MRT) process for the extraction of uranium for value from uranium solution matrices that may also contain significant amounts of other impurities such as copper and iron. Impurities such as copper may also be recovered for value. Examples of these separations and the primary benefits of the MRT process are given.
