The method of potentiometric titration is widely used for studying equlibria in aqueous and nonaqueous systems due to its simplicity and sufficient accuracy. However, acid basic groups, which determine the chemical properties of humus substances in soils, are hard to identify because of the complex structure of soil polyelectrolytes.
