When synthesized, most polymers may contain components with different end groups. Consequently qualitative and quantitative information about the composition of these mixtures is desired. This study involves polymer mixtures with different end groups and comparing the intensity changes in MALDI mass spectra as a function of the changes in the mixture composition. Ionization efficiencies are relatively quantified and cataloged for use as a reference in identification of unknown samples with several different end groups.
