Exposure to solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation, chemical carcinogens and chemical agents are primarily responsible for several skin diseases including skin cancer, skin tumor and dermatitis (1-4). In order to investigate the proteomics changes in response to solar irradiation and toxic chemical agents in the proteome of human keratinocytes (HaCaT cell line), two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2-D DIGE) coupled to mass spectrometry were carried out for analyzing the global protein expression change. The in vivo proteomic profiles in response to environmental inductions are of clinical relevance to risk assessment applications and disease prevention.
