摘要

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are key ingredients in the formation of ozone and aerosols in the atmosphere and thus play a significant role in regional air quality. Proton-transfer-reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) is a useful tool to measure VOCs in the atmosphere, because it allows for fast on-line measurements of many important natural and man-made VOCs along with their oxidation products. We have successfully deployed a PTR-MS and a newly developed PIT-MS instrument on various platforms such as aircrafts, ships and at ground sites. Results will be presented that demonstrate the validity and usefulness of those measurements in atmospheric chemistry research.
