摘要

The combination of liquid crystal order and in situ photopolymerization processes is widely accepted to be a very versatile technique for producing materials that are suitable for a variety of applications. Azo-moiety is being incorparated in liquid crystals due to its interesting photoactivity derivated from the light induced cis-trans isomerization. Among liquid crystals, bent-shaped ones have recenty attracted great attention because their unique properites regarding both chirality and polarity.
