摘要

Salmonella spp. represents one of the major pathogens of food-borne disease outbreaks worldwide (1). Salmonella typhimurium and S. enteritidis represent the most frequently isolated serovars (2). Pork, in addition to beef, dairy and poultry, is one ofthe major vehicles for the transmission of Salmonella from animals to humans. Therefore in order to reduce the risk of food-borne Salmonellosis, the reduction of Salmonella in livestock is inevitable. To provide a sensitive and reliable tool for the screening of pig herds a peptide-mediated "Capture"-PCR for the detection of Salmonella in faecal samples, liquid manure and surface swabs was developed.
