摘要

Needle-free injectors as an alternative to the syringe-needle method of administration to production animals have the advantages including more precise dosing, reduced spread of disease due to contaminated needles, and improved speed of administration(1). Needle-free injectors have been proven before to be as effective as needle vaccination for delivery of vaccines for swine influenza (2), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) (2, 4), Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (3) and pseudorabies virus (4). In this study, a propriety needle-free injector (Agro-Jet MIT X) was compared to the traditional needle-syringe administration method. The response was measured by the antibody response after vaccination with classical swine fever (CSF) and Aujeszky's disease(AD) vaccines.
