With the rapid changes of information systems and technology,a number of doctoral dissertations have contributed to the knowledge body of MIS in South Korea.Most of these dissertations were later not only published in journals and made significant impact on the academic side of MIS,but their authors have also led the direction of MIS research in the country.By looking into MIS dissertations in South Korea,we attempt to see the historical trends and methodologies in MIS research in Korea.Further,we are to find the theories and models upon which Korean doctoral dissertations have based.
