摘要

The derivatization step is mandatory in biphosphonate LC/MS/MS analyses. Due to their multi-charged states, a high sensitivity and selective assay is impossible without derivatization. By methylation of the amine and phosphonate groups, a signal to noise ratio of 29 was obtained for a LLOQ of 50 pg/mL with this method. Clinical study samples were analysed with this assay which was shown to be accurate, precise and reproducible.
