摘要

This DESI-MS method provides a simple, rapid way of characterizing structural modifications to HALS within polymer-based coatings. Modification occurs at the piperidine nitrogen, converting N-CH_(3), N-C(O)CH_(3) and N-OR groups to N-H. This has been reported for the first time for N-OR HALS and indicates a second activation pathway (Fig. 5).
