The Bay Area Clean Water Agencies (BACWA) is a joint public powers authority whose more than 60 members are from the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties and include public utilities that collect and treat wastewater. BACWA works with its membership, state and federal governments, as well as non-governmental organizations to provide a regional voice for the clean water community's stewardship of the San Francisco Bay. BACWA has seven topic-specific committees (e.g. recycled water, biosolids, and collection systems), and 3 info-share groups.
