摘要

The present investigation attempts to design and analyze the dynamic performance of the pressure compensator of a non-rotating swash plate type axial piston pump. The desire is to have full flow of the pump up to a set delivery pressure. The torque due to the dynamic variation of delivery pressure and swash angle has been considered as the input to the design for the pump. Through an interactive design and simulation algorithm in a MATLAB-SIMULINK framework, the design of the pressure compensator has been carried out. Based on some known sizes by studying the features of some existing pumps, critical sizes like the radial clearance between rate cylinder and piston, diameter of the pilot orifice, diameter of orifice in rate piston has been tuned through running the simulation tool for satisfactory performance. Stable dynamics, small overshoot of the pilot-stage spool and the quick time response of the swash plate have been set as the criteria for satisfactory performance.
