摘要

A wetland simulated experiment was employed toinvestigate the accumulation of Cadmium (Cd) in Arundodonax L., and the effects of Cd addition on its growth andphotosynthesis characteristics. Results showed that themorphological characteristics, the leaves and roots biomassdidn't show statistically significant differences. The orderof Cd accumulation is stem < roots < leaves. There wereno differences on relative chlorophyll content, quantumyield of PSII electron transport (Yield) and maximumquantum efficiency of photosystem II (Fv/Fm) (except0.125 mg/L), photosynthetic rate (Pn), while significantdifferences on initial chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fo). Theactivity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) was stimulated byCd treatments. Although the activities of peroxidase (POD)and catalase (CAT) were decreased at 2.5 mg/L, and at0.05 and 0.125 mg/L, respectively, the activity of CAT wasincreased at 2.5 mg/L and POD increased at 0.05 and 0.125mg/L, indicating the decrease in CAT and POD wascompensated by the induction of POD and CAT activity, respectively. The results suggested that the oxidative stressmay involve in the mechanism of Cd toxicity and A. donaxshowed a strong tolerance to the increased Cd pollution, which may have a potential use for phytoremediationpurposes in wetland environment.
