摘要

In this study, we demonstrate a portable cellphone-based microphotometer, which combines a microbial viability reagent, a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) multiwell array, simple optics, and an iPhone, to allow rapid quantitative assessment of the antimicrobial resistance profiles of pathogens. With the portable system, antimicrobial resistance profiling and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) of bacterial pathogens can be performed at the point of care without the need of bulky supporting equipment and can be finished in 2 hours compared to days in standard procedure.
