摘要

Chronic subclinical mastitis (CSM) produces persistent inflammation of the mammary gland but cannot be detected visually by changes in milk and clinical signs in the udder. Cows with CSM may be a source of infection for other cows in the herd, and canreduce the milk yield due to loss of the alveolar synthesis capacity (Viguier et al., 2009). A recent study determined the risk factors associated with CSM, reinforcing the need to include those risk factors in models intended to evaluate production losses in CSM (Cardozo et al., 2015). The objective of this study was to determine cow-level effects on milk yield and composition caused by CSM pathogens characterized as contagious, environmental or infrequent.
