摘要

Field deployable portable real time PCR instrument and iiPCR and gold standard assays will be validated for use by first responders in for surveillance and outbreak response as well as the detection; differentiation and discovery of foreign and emergent and zoonotic infectious agents. Aid in vaccine research and epidemiological studies as well. It is anticipated that results from objective 2 will greatly facilitate the utility of not only field PCR but all molecular based detection methods for HUD; by the development of sample clean up protocols for the field. The research will create translatable cost-effective interventions for both human and animal diseases of local; state; national; and global importance.
