Geomorphological analysis provides an effective tool for the terrain changes due to sediments and erosion of a river. Bazhang Shih, located in southern Taiwan, is featured with large terrain changes resulting from erosions and other causes. A segment of this river has been previously studied with the Digital Elevation Models (DEM) established from historic aerial photographs. Resulting from the technological advance, airborne LiDAR is capable of providing both higher spatial distribution and vertical accuracy comparatively than the DEM generated before. This study utilizes the LiDAR DEM surveyed in 2011, 2012 and 2013 of a river segment. Several schemes are devised for the analysis, including DEM differencing, and frequency domain analysis.
