The Scintillating Fiber Imager reported last year was upgraded. The read out configuration and fiber size were optimized for Restriction Landmark Genomic Scanning (RLGS) technology. The background counts were reduced by the anti-coincidence plastic scintillator. The detection efficiency was improved about 5 times, and spatial resolution enough for RLGS was achieved.
