摘要

In the research field of lighting quality, there have been different approaches to the definition of lighting quality as well as different considerations in the measurement of lighting quality. However, a definitive definition eludes us and a metric of lighting quality seems remote. In this paper, it is felt that the most useful road of development is the luminance pattern and its subjective assessment. This paper therefore takes the original work of Loe et al. (1994) and performs some further analysis of the factor VISUAL INTEREST on the dataset. Furthermore, the potential for Fourier analysis in the characterisation of VISUAL INTEREST is explored.
