The linear and mass attenuation coefficients of the composite substrate were studied. The material was selected as a base material filled with bentonite material as a reinforced substance. The effects of gamma ray due to adding the reinforcement material and its weight ratios of (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 %) were studied. These coefficients were obtained for energy ranges: (0.514 MeV, 0.662 MeV and 1.28 MeV). That was by applying the linear equations for the output of the graph representation between the logarithm of absorbance with thickness and thickness equivalent to the samples. The results showed an increase in gamma absorption spectrometry with thickness and thickness equivalent. Also, they showed an inverse relationship between linear and mass attenuation coefficients with gamma ray generating energies. The increase of the molecular weight of the filler increased linear with mass attenuation coefficients.
