Information systems and technologies (IST) are the essence of up-to date organizations, and changes in this field are occurring at an uncontrollable pace, interrupting traditional business models and forcing organizations to implement new business models. The integration of technological innovations, such as Big Data - Analytics, Cloud Computing, Mobile Connectivity, and Social, the four pillars of digital transformation, with business practice can enable significant competitive advantage. On the other hand, Information Systems are the core of every business and cut across almost all aspects of organizational life. Information Systems and Information Technology are used as support to all aspects of organizational functions and activities. In this context, the teaching of Information Systems both at the higher level and training education must be urgently aligned with these transformations, so that present and future Information Systems professionals may learn to solve problems with greater agility. Such agility is also required to organizations. In this paper a curriculum of an Information Systems course at the High Education level is analyzed, while some extensions and adjustments are proposed in order to address the new challenges of Digital Transformation in organizations.
