We want to know the causes that give rise to the difference of digital competence between students who enter university from different Autonomous Communities, or their own, as well as the possibilities of improving it so that their passage through higher education is maximized, without gaps of knowledge that may end up generating frustration and abandonment. Checking the added motivations of the use of ICT in teaching, we will investigate the possible benefits that can be provided in sectors of the population marginalized, but in the formative phase, as are fundamentally the people with functional diversity. We want to know what the most appropriate ICT applications or uses may be, as well as the factors that condition their performance. The results obtained will help us recommend, if deemed appropriate, the strategy to follow in the teaching imparted in the pre-university studies or we will prevent the real situation with which we will face in the first courses in the university so that we can act for to reduce the school failure of the students of regulated education and also we will obtain orientations to facilitate the social inclusion in the case of the people in risk of exclusion.
