The electrical performance of commercial III:V Concentrator Photovoltaic (CPV) and Heterojunction with Intrinsic thin layer (HIT) flat-plate (FP) modules were measured on-sun at Cardiff University. The module efficiencies during the solar solstice week (19th - 21st June 2017) were calculated as 28% (CPV) and 17% (FP) at solar noon. Power generation per unit area capability of the CPV module was calculated as 1.6x that of the FP module.
