LKQ processes thousands of heavy trucks each year diverting many tons of materials from landfill. Trucks are environmentally treated and hazardous materials collected for reuse and recycling. Large quantities of CO_2 are prevented from release through recycling of steel, aluminum and other metals. Thousands of parts are sold for reuse which creates an economic benefit for customers and helps lower cost for transport of goods.
