Hydrodynamic analysis of a seventh generation ultra-deep waterdrillship is carried out to solve added mass and response amplitudeoperator. Short term response predictions with South China Sea, WestAfrica, Brazil oil field environment conditions are analyzed and theoperation capabilities on drilling/well test/running BOP/riser disconnectin different wave directions are studied and weighted operationcapabilities in different areas are presented. Sensitivity analyses ofadditional critical damping are finished. Besides, the available period/wave height combination are analyzed. The results can give reference todesign and operation of drillship.
