摘要

The article presents the results of the analysis of official data on the energy produced from biomass in Ukraine on the basis of application of a linear regression model. The comparative analysis of general trends in bioenergy was conducted for Ukraine and Poland. The analysis showed that while preserving existing trends, there is a high probability of not achieving the strategic goals of a country that has a significant potential for sustainable biomass. The necessity of application of economic and legal instruments that can stimulate the production and consumption of biofuels made on the basis of waste from agricultural enterprises and wood waste is substantiated for the stage of transition to bioeconomy. The bioeconomic approach to the development of bioenergy can only be realized if there is an interest in the rational use of biomass resources as of its founders, as well as the state and end users of biofuels.
