摘要

The CDMAM 3.4 phantom is the standard used phantom for quality control in digital mammography. Since digital mammography is improving and automatic image readout is becoming more popular, the CDMAM 4.0 phantom has been developed. The phantom contains more diameters and optimized gold disc thicknesses for each diameter. Six prototype CDMAM 4.0 phantoms and six CDMAM 3.4 phantoms were imaged and analyzed by the automatic readout software CDCOM. Psychometric curves and CD Curves were determined. The number of gold discs having relevant detection probabilities increased with 240% for the CDMAM 4.0. Both phantoms show similar CD Curves, but the CDMAM 4.0 phantoms have less variations at the outer diameters therefore giving more accurate results.
