A fuel processing subsystem of an ambient pressure phosphoric acid fuel cell power plant is modeled and analyzed using the physical characteristics of the real power plant. In this paper the model is presented with parameters such as capacity andfluid resistance. Our model makes it possible to calculate composition of gas at various locations in the subsystem as well as flow rate and pressure. The model is verified by comparing the results of the numerical simulation with experimental data. Thedynamic characteristics of the fuel processing subsystem corresponding to load change are also studied.
