Traditioally,operatorss have reviewed experience form other job scentarios to asess feasibility when considering applciation fo a technolgy.Therefore,when data concerning field usage is limited,as is the case for emerging technologies,new concepts that show prmise of providing isgnificnat economic benfefit are oftened abandoned.Generally,this is because of misconceptions concerning hte associated risks of its usage.Since the assessemnt of the benefits of new technology cannot be based upon proevious experience,an accruate mehtod for understandin the "unknowns" of a new technique and analyzing the probable ocmonoic reamificaitons has been needed.
