To minimize soil removal, Osaka Gas has already commenced use of soil reclaimed at a stationary soil processing plant. However, not all construction sites can use this plant, because of the time required for soil transport. To facilitate the use of removed soil at road excavation sites distant from the plant, the company has developed a compact, mobile type soil processing plant. This plant requires only a small space near a gas pipeline construction site to improve removed soil for recycling. The innovative point of the new technology lies in the conversion from stationary to mobile, which increases the amount of treatable soil. This development has increased opportunities for removed soil recycling.
