Corrosion in soils varies to a marked degree with the kind or type of soil. Soil corrosivity had a close relation with soil properties and environmental parameters. However, the general methods, such as in DIN Standard 59029, proposed by W. V. Baeckmann(1974), are sometimes doubtful and unsuitable because of complex of soil corrosion. According to our formal research works, Soil corrosion models could been created by data from corrosion survey at certain regional area and soil corrosivity could been easily assessed by models. In present paper, the survey of soil corrosivity at Tarim region was demonstrated and the steel-soil corrosion models were studied.
