摘要

The formation and uplift of the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau may have been responsible for the past 150 Ma global environmental changes, resulting in the development of three-tiered landform in southern China. The Yuannan-Guizhou Plateau, as the middle tier in eastern slope of the Himalayas, has been complex environmental unit with great altitude gradients and plateau landform characters. Both monsoons from the Pacific and the Indian resulting in apparent environmental changes on variable time scales influence it. Environmental geochemical effect of low latitude-high altitude could be yielded, and well recorded in the geological bodies in this region.
